Hello there! My name is Kate and I am a Senior at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I am going to school to become an early childhood teacher. My major will allow me to teach in the grades of pre-k through fourth grade. I hope to also be eligible to teach fifth and sixth grade, so I will have to take that content exam in order to test out of those grades. I have really enjoyed my time here in Corpus Christi, and I think that this university has a wonderful education program. I have learned a lot here and am proud to say that I will be graduating in the Fall of 2010.
A little more about me....I am 24 years old, and I am from Kerrville Texas where I lived for 18 years. I have a wonderful family including my mom, dad, two older brothers, two sister-in laws, two nieces, and one nephew. Also, I have two wonderful dogs, Kacey and Dolly. I love spending time outdoors whether it be hunting, fishing, going to the beach, or just taking my dogs for a walk.
By the way...I am keeping this blog as a journal for my English 3360 writing class which I am currently enrolled in for the summer 1 2010 session. This class seems like it will be a great learning experience, and I know that I will benefit greatly from it. From what I understand, this course will help me become a better teacher of writing!!!
